My new door is simply beautiful and fully bespoke.
I had an old door with lovely leaded glass but it was very cold and also letting in water. The glass was very thin and cracked in several places.
My new door is watertight and warm. I was able to design my own leaded glass panels which were handmade from beautiful old-looking glass with all the little bubbles and flaws which you’d expect in old leaded lights and then incorporated into double glazed units.
It was quite expensive but well worth the money. I did get other quotes which were actually comparable but the doors on offer and the glazing options were very bog standard to say the least with a choice of horrible, cheap looking off the shelf glass panels.
I wanted my door to look special and that’s what I got from Wealden Joinery! The workmanship is amazing and the fitters are true craftsmen, it wasn’t an easy job to fit the door as this is an old house and nothing is quite straightforward in it!
I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Martin was in contact very quickly and as we were replacing a front door on a grade two listed building, I had lots of questions and concerns. He made two site visits before installation (both on the right day and time). On the second visit, his fitter, Dave also came along.

We approached other local companies when we started the process of replacing these but we were immediately impressed by Wealden’s friendly, yet professional approach to the job in hand and, after a visit to the workshop to see their work in action, we were very happy to put the work their way.
The nature of our property meant that every door and window was different; they were large and there was a lot of them and we were concerned about the size of the project. But Wealden were not phased by this and they went out of their way to make sure we were happy with everything. They were particularly patient with us regarding identifying the colour for the external paintwork and ordered samples of paint which they applied to generous offcuts for us to see until we found the colour that we wanted. There was never any pressure on us to make our minds up more quickly or use standard colours or accessories and consequently we are totally happy with the end result.
We were made welcome at the workshop to see the work in progress and when it came to installing them on site they worked around us professionally and tidily and the whole team were really a pleasure to have around.
The entire process, from the initial quoting, through the manufacture, installation and follow-up, ran like clockwork and we would not hesitate to recommend Wealden Joinery to anyone requiring similar bespoke work.
